The Founders of McLaughlin & Ling Reforestation

Hi, I'm Caitlin. Growing up in the farming countryside near Newcastle, I was always drawn to the towering Trees a few fields away from my home. I moved to Bristol to study design and didn't realise how being so far from nature would affect me. After relocating from the South West of England to the West Coast of Scotland—where my roots truly are—I found myself planting Trees and quickly fell in love with it. A couple of seasons in Canada and back to Scotland to start a new venture. My passion for nature, Trees, and ecology has only deepened over time. My background in design has given me an understanding of how the built environment is created and functions. Now, I’m expanding that knowledge to explore the natural world, bridging the gap between design, ecology and forestry.
